CODE OF CONDUCT
1. I will attend practices, games, meetings, fundraisers and any other team function on time.
2. Starting positions will be subject to attendance, participation, fundraising and coaches discretion.
3. I will show respect towards all coaches and players at all times.
4. I will at the beginning of the season limit my position as a player or a coach.
5. I will demonstrate GOOD sportsmanship on and off the field.
6. I will not fight, put down my teammates, or argue with my coaches.
7. I will stay within the established area of the sidelines, team bench area, during practices and games.
8. I will be coachable (Obey Coaches) and ready to learn and have fun.
9. I will be a TEAM player and always put the team first.
10. I will obey the coaches and rules of my sport .
11. I understand that the use or possession of drugs, alcohol, or any tobacco products or participation in any illegal activities with the law will be reason for ejection from the team and/or any league participation.
12. I will respect my equipment and take care of it. Failure to maintain my equipment will result in additional fees to repair or replace.
13. I will show proper respect for an official’s judgment and interpretation of the rules.
14. I will perform to the best of my abilities on and off the field/court.
15. I understand that social media is not an outlet to talk badly about coaches, other players, or basketball teams. If I chose to do so, I understand that I can incur unsportsmanlike behavior penalties, or be dismissed from the Lake Stevens Valkyries.
16. I will not encourage or participate in any Valkyries chats or group practices without a board member or coaching staff member present or prior approval from a coach or staff member.
17. I understand that I am representing the Lake Stevens Valkyries organization posting any lewd photos, comments or videos on Social Media can be cause for unsportsmanlike behavior penalties OR immediate dismissal from the Lake Stevens Valkyries organization.
18. I understand that I risk being ejected and/or suspended from a game, or further league participation, if I incur any type of unsportsmanlike behavior penalties.
Disciplinary Action Policy
First Infraction: Face-to-face meeting with the head coach and/or board members.
Second Infraction: Missed play time or suspension from team activities.
Third Infraction: Dismissal from the Lake Stevens Valkyries.

Participation in Lake Stevens Valkyries organization is voluntary and at-will. The organization reserves the right to remove any team member at any time, with or without cause, at the discretion of [leadership/board]. By joining our team, you acknowledge and agree that your participation is not guaranteed for any specific duration and may be terminated at the organization's discretion when code of conduct is not followed.
I have read the Valkyries Player Code of Conduct and agree to follow it to the best of my ability. I realize that failure to do so may result in my removal from my team or suspension. I agree to participate within the guidelines and expectations that are made of me.

Coaches Code of Conduct
Lake Stevens Valkyries

-To advance the principals of sportsmanship and fair play and to promote mutual respect among
players, coaches, referees, and spectators the Lake Stevens Valkyries has established this "Code of Conduct" (hereafter referred to as "the Code").
-The Code of Conduct shall govern the actions of coaches and assistant coaches. The Code is
intended to provide behavioral guidance and establish clear expectations for all involved. The
Code was not conceived to address every possible behavioral circumstance; however, it shall serve as the Organization’s standard for behavioral evaluation.
-It shall be the obligation of ALL program coaches and assistant coaches, to comply with the terms and provisions of the Code of Conduct. Any person violating the Code shall be subject to
administrative action, up to and including termination of his/her privilege to participate in, or
attend, any or all LSV sponsored activities.
-Coaches and Assistant Coaches shall remain unconditionally supportive of the Organization’s
commitment to the ideals of good sportsmanship, team play, honesty, loyalty, courage, and
respect for authority. Likewise, coaches shall remain sensitive to the physical and emotional well-being of the players on his/her team. To adhere to these doctrines, the coaches and assistant
coaches agree as follows:
1.Coaches will be positive role models.
2. Coaches will not take any bribes and discourages any notion of the athlete towards taking
bribes or displaying non-sportsmanship like behavior.
3. Coaches will display and instill in their players the principals of good sportsmanship and
team play.
4. Coaches will conduct themselves in a manner that best serves the interests of the players.
5. Coaches will do their best to provide the players a positive & fun experience.
6. Coaches will ensure that winning and/or losing teams do so in a manner, which exhibits
respect and good sportsmanship.
7. Coaches will treat all players, spectators, opposing coaches, league officials and referees
with respect.
8. Any physical contact in an aggressive manner, verbal abuse, obscene gestures by coaches
will not be tolerated.
9. Coaches will provide instruction in a manner that is constructive and supportive.
10. Coaches will not ridicule or demean players, other coaches, or referees.
11. Coaches will not tolerate behavior that endangers the health or well-being of a participant.
12. Coaches will comply with the decisions of league officials and observe all rules, policy and
procedure as established or endorsed by the LSV.
13. Coaches will teach the game of football to the best of their ability, only using methods and
techniques that they are confident in teaching, where they possess the qualifications for.
14. The coach ensures that the training and competition requirements meet the abilities of
the individual athlete in fitness and age.
15. Coaches understand Sexual harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated as
outlined in LSV policies.
16. Coaches understand that fraternization between a coach and a player is highly
discouraged by the LSV Board during the football season.
17. Coaches will be drug and alcohol free while at any LSV athletic event.
18. Coaches will not use any tobacco products where prohibited.
19. Participation in criminal illegal activities will be reason for ejection from coaching staff
and/or league.
20. Coaches acknowledge the need to demonstrate fundamental proficiencies with respect to
the game of football and first aid. All coaches agree to attend, any skill sessions that may
be required by the Board of LSV and moreover, any first aid courses that may be mandated
by the Board.
I have read, understand, and agree to the above stated Code of Conduct of Lake Stevens
Valkyries. I agree to be bound by its provisions.
